To support Amnesty International's 2021 Write4Right's day, VICE highlighted one of their ongoing human rights cases. Produced in the UK and filmed in Guatemala, we learn of Bernardo Caal Xol's unlawful imprisonment for his efforts to protect his people's sacred Cahabon river from a Hydroelectric plant.

Together with Amnesty we managed to spread the word about Bernardo's case, and help drive viewers to sign a petition for his case to be appealed.

As part of the project we also created a series of social assets that ran on VICE's instagram. These highlighted other human rights cases desperate for collective action.
